To be Orange or Not to be Orange?

That's the question on my mind right now.

Our beloved Win4now site has only ever evolved twice in the 7+ years it's been 'alive', so we think it's about time to give it a nip & tuck and new lease of life.

The question on every one's mind is whether to keep it as orange and bright as it is now or modernise it with whiteness? You our members had a split opinion last time we asked to loving the 'fun' colour scheme or loathing the 'gaudiness' of the orange.

What do you think we should do? Kill the orange or embrace it in mark 3?

PS. Good luck to Lucy our competition creator in your fitness exams this weekend! Fingers crossed.

Farewell Maciek!

It's Macieks (or 'Magic' as most of us pronounce his name!) last day at Win4now today.

Macieks main role is technical support and is a very popular guy in the office. We will sorely miss him but he's off to Berlin and we wish him & his family well for the future.

Bye bye & good luck from all of us at Win4now x

Sheep Competitions

Everyone and I mean everyone from 10 year old's to 80 year old's wants an iphone.
Why are they so desirable?
What makes them better than all the other phones on the market?
Or is it nothing? and they are the most popular because they are cool and everyone thinks the same?
Well done Apple for creating a masterpiece in a over saturated market and don't get me wrong, i'd also really love to win an iphone too BUT

don't be a sheep win4now'ers; open your mind, be an individual & the most important of reasons.....

INCREASE your winning odds by entering to win the LG viewty smart phone! I bet there will be less entries to win this phone than if we had an iphone on the site. So that's better for you!

Be smart, enter this competition on Win4now

Voucher codes quality

I used some of my voucher codes offers on Friday night but had mixed feelings about the quality of the offers received.

The first voucher was for free cocktails at a bar/restaurant called Olive in Sheffield and the service and quality was great. I could pick any cocktail with no price limit. Brilliant. I left a satisfied freebie hunter and would definitely go back now that I have had my free trial and spend my hard earn't cash. Consumer & voucher provider both happy.

The second voucher was for another cocktail offer at the posh west one complex (I can't remember it's name it's that memorable! ) and we were very disappointed. The cocktail pitcher was described as 'champagne' but was really cheapo fizzy rose wine with a sticky syrup. Nasty. Not only will we not go back, but we will also recommend others don't go there.

The moral of the story for me is that if a company is going to offer a freebie or prize make sure it's a good one.
Don't trick the consumer and don't offer us tat. It will subsequently have a negative branding effect.

Bargain hunters; scrubbers of the internet?

The top dogs of retail decided that they would offer the UK public loads of great offers, discounts, freebies, competitions & money off vouchers to help beat the recession and get us to buy their struggling products and keep their high street stores open.

It worked.
Oh boy did it work!

46% of us bought stuff with vouchers that we wouldn't have even bought if it wasn't for the voucher! That's not bad sales figures for the shops!

Restaurants & supermarkets in particular really pushed the vouchers with offers like 2 4 1, buy 1 get 1 free and offering us points for spending with them. So why is it that when you go into their restaurants you see lots of tables rummaging in their handbags and pockets pulling out printed Internet vouchers but made to look like cheapskates by the staff?

The choices are wide for us the consumer, if they don't keep offers alive then their competitors will entice us to buy their products instead.
Why are we embarrassed for grabbing ourselves a bargain though? Really why is that? We should be proud of using our noggin and not being ripped off.

We duly accepted their offers, doing them a favour and in return getting something we want for free too. Now we are made to feel like the scrubbers of the Internet!

Don't be manipulated by the retailers; keep bargain hunting, keep using your vouchers, entering competitions and signing up for freebies! I know I will.
